Zero Tolerance- Harassment of Town Staff

The Town of Norman Wells maintains a strict policy against any form of harassment or discrimination towards our staff, including but not limited to sexual and racial harassment/discrimination. Any instances of such misconduct are promptly reported, irrespective of the perpetrator’s affiliation as personnel, management, visitor, vendor, contractor, or customer.

In order to ensure the safety and well-being of our staff, they are provided with a comprehensive list of contact numbers to reach out to in the event of harassment. Numbers include:

– RCMP: 911

– Department Manager

– Senior Administrative Officer 

Instances of harassment towards staff are diligently and expeditiously investigated, with potential involvement of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) if deemed necessary.

It is imperative to note that any individual found guilty of engaging in such reprehensible behavior will be promptly banned from all town premises. Furthermore, appropriate legal action may be pursued, leading to potential charges and subsequent consequences.
