Safety of all residents is our utmost priority. In the event of an emergency, we want to ensure that you are well-informed and prepared. The town of Norman Wells utilizes various communication avenues to relay important information promptly.

Remember, preparedness is key. Familiarize yourself with these communication avenues and encourage your friends, family, and neighbors to do the same. By staying informed and united, we can effectively navigate through any emergency situation that may arise. We will do our best to ensure that everyone in the community has access to the same information which will in turn reduce any confusion or rumour.

In the event of a communications loss- please see attached chart for emergency communications.

The Town has response plans for specific community emergencies that may arise.

In the event of an emergency within the town there are a few things we can do as a community to ensure that all our residents are looked after. If we are in a no internet/phone situation, please be mindful of neighbors and our more vulnerable population. Don’t hesitate to check in with neighbors and relay vital messages. Monitor the avenues of communication listed above for more information and follow any direction given by the head of the incident command.
