The proposed responsible pet ownership by law will replace the Companion Animal Control By Law which went into effect in 2010.
The updated by law recognizes that pet ownership in Norman Wells has evolved. Changes include revisions to fee structures, and the expansion of licensing that will now regulate unique animal ownership.
The bylaw update was guided by input from comprehensive public engagement, the results of which can be found in the report below!
