As per recommendation from the Community Emergency Response Committee, Norman Wells Town Council, by resolution, has voted to terminate the Local State of Emergency effective immediately. This also means the Emergency Measures Organization is no longer active.
The termination of the State of Local Emergency ends the 12am-6am curfew as per section 15 of the Emergency Measures By Law.
With things winding down from the COVID outbreak in the Sahtu region, MACA has placed the Regional EMO level to 1; Monitoring until the region reaches 0 active cases.
