What would you like to see this year during the July 1st Canada Day ceremony?
Last year, celebrations consisted of a drum prayer and drum dancing, live music, Feeding of the fire, Pancake breakfast and BBQ.
There was no Canada Day Parade Last year. This was a community and Council decision which gave everyone the opportunity to collectively mourn, and provided an opportunity for thoughtful reflection of what it means to be Canadian in light of the unmarked graves of residential school children which continue to be discovered.

We look forward to making your July 1st as meaningful and enjoyable as possible!
