The Advancement of Equity and Inclusion Committee has started a book club which highlights the work of Indigenous authors.
The book club is one of the committees cultural, racism, and discrimination awareness projects. Other projects the committee has discussed include: potentially setting up a Legacy Space in Norman Wells. The Legacy Space Program is an opportunity for organizations and institutions to provide a safe, welcoming place dedicated to providing education and spreading awareness about Indigenous history and our journey of reconciliation.
Do you have more ideas about what we can do in Norman Wells for cultural, racism, and discrimination awareness projects? The Advancement of Equity and Inclusion Committee would love to hear from you! Email email@example.com or call 867-587-3700. We’d also like to remind the community that all committee meetings are open to the public. Visit the “events” tab at www.normanwells.com for meeting information!
