What is an All-Candidate Forum?
An all-candidate forum is a structured event where candidates running for office come together to present their platforms, answer questions from the public, and engage with voters. This forum offers a valuable opportunity for the community of Norman Wells to learn about the candidates running for mayor and council in the 2024 municipal election.
Purpose of the Forum
The primary purpose of the all-candidate forum is to facilitate direct communication between candidates and constituents. It allows voters to gain insight into each candidate’s policies, priorities, and qualifications, promoting transparency and informed decision-making in the upcoming election.
Question and Answer Format
During the forum, candidates will respond to questions that have been provided in advance. These questions can be picked up at the town office or requested via email. This approach ensures that candidates can prepare thoughtful responses and allows the audience to better understand their perspectives.
Open Forum
In addition to pre-submitted questions, there will also be an open forum segment where audience members can pose questions directly to the candidates. This segment encourages spontaneous dialogue and enables voters to address specific concerns or issues they feel are important.
