Norman Wells Air Quality Update July 12, 2023:
258 US AQI- Very Unhealthy
The AQI for Norman Wells is at a more favorable rating this morning (July 11 AQI was nearly double!).
The pool will be open today; however, the general public will be noticeably affected by air quality. Sensitive groups will experience reduced endurance in activities. These individuals should remain indoors and restrict activities.
Air scrubbers which perform complete air exchanges and capture bacteria, viruses, allergens, dust, mould particles, and smoke particles have been ordered and are expected to arrive tomorrow which will drastically improved the air quality inside the building.
We will continue to monitor air quality for the remainder of the day, and if there are drastic decreases in quality, we will keep users informed.
