Notice from Sahtú Got’iné Regional Health and Social Services Centre

Norman Wells is experiencing periods of smoke due to the wild fires in the region. If you are experiencing respiratory symptoms, such as shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, chest pain, increase in coughing or wheezing, that isn’t normal for you, or any other medical concern related to the smoke, please reach out to the Nurse on call at – 867 444 4321 after hours and on weekends.

The main Health Centre number is 867 587 3333, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Try to limit the amount of time spent outside if possible when the smoke is affecting the air quality index.
